Mila's been a terrible sleeper since birth, she clearly never inherited my 'sleep through a hurricane' gene! I've found it's one of those things where people like to 'contribute' (contribute being the kindest way of putting it, 'push' would be the more appropriate term) their underminding and rather uneducated opinions. When we say, 'we've tried everything' it means just that. I find people who don't have children suggesting 'oh well does she have a proper bedtime routine' 'Are you feeding her enough before bed' 'have you tried letting her not sleep in the day' 'have you tried a pillow' 'have you let her sleep on her side' 'have you tried a grobag' and my all time favourite uneducated suggestion.. 'Have you tried the cry it out method' I'm sorry but my daughter doesn't yet comprehend that she should sleep soundly throughout the night, she is 6 months old after all, people tend to forget that they still wake up in the night to turn over, to have a drink, to go to the toilet, but yet a baby who knows no different except the fact she's in a dark room with no visible or physical contact with her parents should be expected to not wake feeling a little anxious.
So yes, before you want to suggest something to the exhausted mother who has slept through 8 times in 6 months, a way in which to get her daughter to sleep, please bare in mind that while she's nodding along in agreeance she is actually fanaticising about shoving your 'methods' as far up your a*** as is physically possible. As the only 'method' she hasn't tried is juggling bananas whilst standing on her head.
Oh and that also goes for those mothers who brag about their baby sleeping through since day one, we hate you and we most definetely don't believe you.

Sugarjack Gabi in Tan, my new 'must have'
After lusting after this gorgeous bag for a considerable amount of time, I finally bit the bullet and purchased it. From the minute I got it home I had fallen in love, it's one of the most beautiful 'baby' bags I've ever seen, perfect for any mommy who doesn't want to loose her style (along with her boobs and bladder control) after having a baby.
I recently used this bag on a recent visit to a designer outlet, I received complements on it from not only passers by but from staff, in some of the most upmarket stores! They couldn't believe it was in fact a changing bag, I was forced to let numerous people peek inside to prove I wasn't being fictitious!
The leather is beautifully soft, yet thick and hard wearing, the detail and finish are beyond perfect and the well thought out interior has a 'clip in/out' liner for when the typical changing bag pockets aren't needed anymore (Although mine will be staying in as I love a well organised bag!)
The size is quite deceiving, it may look small from the outside but even me, Miss Mary Poppins, managed to have a little space left over!

- 3 nappies, a pack of Huggies wipes, red book, changing mat, my huge purse, Aveeno moisturising cream, a change of clothes for Mila, 6 bibs, a pair of socks, 2 large mam bottles, a dummy, my keys and phone, a food pouch, a spoon and a milk pot, and still not full :)So spoken like a true bag-oholic, I am in heaven. It may be an extravagant purchase, but the Gabi is worth every single penny. And if the tan isn't to your liking, it also comes in burnt orange, which is most definitely next on my list, after every other bag in the Sugarjack range!Thoughtfully named after their children, Whether its Gabi, Lily, Poppy, Oliver, Ava, Rebecca, Holly, Hannah or Isabelle you will not be disappointed!
The sun has got it's hat on.. Oh, wait.. No, Rain again.
Drip little drop little April May showers!
Days like today don't deserve anything productive, they deserve pyjamas, cuddles and blankets!
I'll be spending today snuggled up with my beautiful princess, with the Disney channel on repeat whilst the rain lashes against my windows.
I have my oh so healthy breakfast in tow (Galaxy Ripple) and I don't plan on stepping a foot out into the cold, windy, depressing weather outside!
Days like today usually end in a mass of online shopping purchases.. Only time will tell ;)

In the beginning...
It's always best to start at the very beginning, but the last 6 months have flashed by so quickly I can barely remember what day of the week it is. So we will start somewhere in between! I'm Hana, first time blogger, first time mommy :) my daughter Mila is the air that I breathe, she's 6 months old in 3 days time and I'm finding it hard to come to terms with the fact she's been in our lives for half a year, it seems only 6 weeks ago we were bringing our little 8lb 3oz beauty home from the hospital, now we have a bouncing blue eyed 17lb little princess! My life now consists of sick, snot, dribble and watching Mickey Mouses Clubhouse at 5am, but I wouldn't have it any other way! (Although a lie in wouldn't go a miss!) I'm a self confessed shopaholic, if I haven't owned it, it's either not worth owning or I just haven't got round to it yet ;)
So follow life through the eyes of an opinionated mommy.. We love new friends :) xx
